Αn interactive and site-specific performance that remaps the area of Tampakaria through the affective resonances that unfold in the encounter between our human bodies with the space and with the non-human body of skin, the tanners' relational artefact. The chorography and choreography of the piece is activated by us, the human bodies, invited to partake as activators of the space and its stories through our spectatorship. Together with the performer we wander through a landscape that moves us sensationally. The kinetic echo from the tanners' everyday life as well as their listening relation with skin creates the frame for our coexistence, while asking: how do we choose to live together?
During 7 days, through collaborative social and expanded choreography practices, the local tanners met with the dancer as co-creators dealing with what dance is in its meeting with the area of Tampakaria and the stories and humanness of the tanners themselves. How may we reconstruct the space through the partnership of movement, gaze and the affective place?
Through this performance the dancer aims to disengage dance and the relations it weaves from mechanisms of purely producing. She aims to build temporary communities with the tanners and the audience. She invites the tanners' creative authorship of the place and activates the audience's collective imagination towards more desirable and sustainable futures together in Tampakaria.
Through your experience of the piece’s setting as an audience you also take care of the experience of the Other defining the body as a guide of social activation in the relation between individual and collective movement, sensation and change.
